There are a number of foods that you might have in your home already that are thought to act as natural aphrodisiacs.

 

Many foods, the pomegranate for example, much loved by the ancient Egyptians, have a long history of being effective aphrodosiacs.

 

Some people are more receptive in their chemical makeup for these foodstuffs to work – just find something thatworks for you!

 

Figs were used a great deal by the ancient Greeks as a natural aphrodisiac. Figs were closely allied to fertility, and were thepredecessor in Europe to the rice thrown at weddings today.

 

Garlic is often regarded as having many medicinal uses and is also thought of as a natural aphrodisiac.

Chocolate has been proved to contain phenyethylamine (PEA) which encourages the release of dopamine and therefore makes another natural aphrodisiac.

 

Some studies are thought to have shown that BLACK licorice facilitates blood flow to the penis, and has been used by the Chinese as a natural aphrodisiac since ancient times

 

The juicy seeds of the pomegranate fruit were a favourite of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite

 

Apart from being considered an aphrodisiac, the seeds of the pomegranate are thought to be a active in keeping the ageing process at bay
