How to get over a relationship
Unfortuantely, the life that you I live is not fair all the time. Most, If not all of us will be forced to travel through a time of breakup. This time that we experience can be very painful. It doesn’t matter if the breakups is our first or our thousandth, the pain remains the same. The important thing is how we bounce back after a breakup The first question that we may experience is how to get over someone that was dear to you and you loved.

Remind yourself when you are wondering how to get over someone that this occurrence is not the end of the world and life will go on. A very good healing aid for breakups is time. Make sure that you avoid denying your feelings and telling yourself that you are okay and not hurt. Be sure you have your feelings dealt with so you can prepare for the next relationship. To avoid having similar problems, make sure that you have dealt with these feelings before moving on. You might even find yourself running from new relationships in fear that the same ending will occur.
Sadly, high school doesn’t have the ability to teach how to get over someone. Keep in mind that some people are able to get over someone faster than others; you could be one of them.
Be sure that you avoid having regrets from leaving the relationship. Doing so will hinder your ability to move forward. You have to find healthy ways to get over someone. There aren’t many people who know how to get over someone without hurting themselves in some way. You have to make sure that you avoid these type of habits. We can’t go back and change the past, but we can figure out what took place that lead up to our situation. Find the solution, and be ready for the next time the problem occurs. The guilt feeling that we all hate so much will be reduced when we find this solution as well.

All too often we hear the “let’s be friends” line. While this may make things easier in the breakup, when brought to question about getting over someone, it makes it harder to stay in contact with the other person either meeting them in person or talking to them over the phone. As long as you are in immediate contact with that person, the pain will remain. If one word of advice could be given, there’s an old saying that goes, “out of sight, out of mind.”
If weeks have gone by and you still aren’t sure how to get over someone, don’t fret on it too much. The world doesn’t have a “normal time” that someone goes through before they are over someone else. Different people will respond in different ways. Be happy if you’re one of the rare few that can get over someone quickly. It’s okay you aren’t, just relax as best you can and give yourself more time.
